Let's hope this works. I tried to post a proper update yesterday with the Harry Potter thing but for some reason none of my typing actually got posted. That was half an hour of sitting here. Well, at least this time its likely to go faster.

Let us see...where to begin......

The Canada Day thing paid a decent sum of $55 each. Not bad at all, but we've had better. Not complaining though. Never at any prior point in my life have i had a $50 in my posession, let alone plural. Moneymoneymoneymoney.........MOOOONEEEEY!

Most people have probably had a fair bit more. This is just kind of a personal high for myself.

Saw Charlie and The Chocolate Factory last week, as you can see in Noel's LJ. 'Twas good. Dunno if it was uber-spectacular, but the fact that i have recently realized that i wouldnt mind seeing it again says something.

I'm finding myself bored sometimes. It's weird. Noel's having of a girlfriend and me with the not so much is kind of getting strangely awkward. I'm doing basically the same stuff as i did last summer, in some cases more, but the difference is that last year i was content with it. It's odd.

Off to Oliver, B.C in 2 weeks! Well, August 6th. That's for 2 weeks. Just read my posts from last August if you happen to feel an inexplicable need for details. Basically the same stuff, but you can ignore the Serenity stuff.


Speaking of (you can skip this part if you want), there is a new "International/European" trailer for IT. It's a bit better at explaining the situation and characters than the North American one, with less of the 'splosions that are so common in ours. Not to say that there arent a few.

Also, on the same site, there are actually samples of music from the upcoming movie, and IMHO, they are pretty good. Interesting blend of classical, futuristic, western, modern, and chinese music styles all blended into one.

You can find the trailer and the music at the UK site for the movie, www.cantstopthesignal.co.uk . The release date on the site says October 7th, but thats in Europe. Its still Sept. 30th here.


Like how i added an extra space to separate the usual stuff from Serenity stuff? That way you can easily know where to jump back in if you skip the Serenity stuff.

I just got discs 1 and 4 of Firefly back today, and this marks the first time i will have gotten them all back at once for more than a day since SEPTEMBER, when i started lending them out. I have had them all back once before, but i gave some to the next person within the same day. It's nice to have them all back so that i can watch some of them for the first time in months (not counting Thursdays at 8 on Space).

Not that my efforts have gone to waste. I have successfully gotten at least 13 or 14 converts, many of whom are converting friends and family themselves now. I still have yet to get a bad review (from someone who has actually watched it). So, now, if anyone wants to see it......

Ok, MOVING ON.

DUDE. Star Wars Ep.1 is on. The acting is SO WOODEN. Even I could do better in some cases.

Went to Teed's party on Friday. I'd say that it was fun, but not quite as much as the last one. I need to actually socialize more at them. Anyone who knows me well has probably guessed by now that the only thing i had was soft drinks. I think i prefer parties consisting of a smallish group of close friends rather than a huge crowd.

When i got there it was fun because they were playing Cruisin' USA on the N64, and as soon as i entered they put me up against Jamie. It was much fun when i won, especially the first race since i hadnt played it in years, and for the first few seconds i didnt know how to go, and i still won.

Then there was Zelda. I can't believe they got me to play Zelda at a party. I PAWNED, of course, but i cant believe i died. Stupid stiff controller and non-doubled hearts. No fault of mine. And let's not forget the WWF game. Mark and I had a laugh riot since the only thing we really knew how to do was repeatedly kick eachother in the groin.
It appears i left at just the right time though. I heard that just after i left, a fight almost broke out and the cops were called and shut it down.

If anyone hears of any upcoming parties that are on while im not away, could anyone tell me, if it isnt too much of a problem? It's always nice to see friends, and its a welcome change from sitting here each evening.

I'm so square. Rectangular, even. Oh well.

I think that's it for now! Oh, and the 6th Harry Potter is SOOOOO good. I finished it yesterday. sogood.
